Thank you everyone who has adopted foxgloves for bringing back the deep pots! Now there is a full stock at Green's Farm House again, left of the porch, please take as many as you would like,
As they are rather heavy to carry, I'll be glad to deliver. Just put a note through the porch door or send an email to [email protected] Our November meeting will be taken by Robbie Burns, talking about “Belonging to 2 Troop Falklands” in the Corn Exchange at 2:30PM. In 1982 Robbie led a troop of combat engineers in 1982 during the Falklands campaign. He recently wrote a book documenting his memories and those of former colleagues and their families. He will talk about his experiences from a first-hand perspective and provide some background information. His book also includes discussions with Veterans of the Falklands War who are still struggling to come to terms with their experiences.
All members are welcome to attend and to enjoy the refreshments afterwards. Visitors are also welcome but are required to contribute £1.50 towards the cost. NB Please note that all attendees are required to be in good health and to be up-to-date with their COVID vaccinations. If in doubt please stay at home. Martin Lloyd will talk on Becoming a Famous Author in the Faringdon Corn Exchange at 2.30pm on 13th October. Martin has returned by popular demand – he is an accomplished speaker across the country, and has published more than 10 books on a variety of topics. In this talk he will step by step expose what he had to do to get his first book published. Prepare to be shocked, amazed and amused!
Refreshments are available after the talk. All members are welcome, but visitors are required to pay £1.50. Please be in good health but stay at home if you are uncertain. A reminder to everyone that the postponed Harvest Festival and Harvest Lunch will take place on Sunday next, 9th October.

If you have already indicated that you are coming to the Harvest Lunch, I will be contacting you in the next day or so to confirm whether you are still coming. If you were not able to come last time, but would now like to join us, please let me know - 241632 or [email protected].
